Rumar development diary: #7

Thursday, September 17th:
Too much time is spent on development and too little on updating this blog, but the result is that we’re already in the 2nd phase of our beta!
The first beta version was released on the 10th of this month and we got a lot of valuable feedback which was immediately incorporated into the 2nd beta version that was released yesterday.
The response so far has been mainly positive and it looks like our game is almost ready for an App Store release!
One of the big milestones this month was finally coming up with a name for our game.
No longer do we have to refer to it as Project Venus; Our game is called Drop The Block!

At this point we have no more known bugs and all the features have been implemented.
All the remaining effort is now focused on implementing more levels so we have at least 50 of them when we go live.
Additional levels will be added after the game has been released.
Here are a few screenshots of what to expect:
The current expectation is that we can release to the App Store end of this week.
It still needs a review from Apple before it’s accepted, so that means it will be another week before it’s actually available.
Nice! Glad to see some amazing progress. I’m in a similar situation and I’ll be releasing some mobile games soon. You can see some of my upcoming games at http://yargies.com/. Currently trying to figure out a marketing strategy (:|). Would love some feedback.
Hi Kenji,
I will contact you by mail later this week to give you some pointers.
Also like to talk about those icon sets on your blog. Think they look great and maybe we can work together on some things in the future.
Cheers,
Ruud
